A Short Post

So I caught this in yesterday's USA Today.  I convulsed with glee at seeing something about comics in a major media outlet.  Of course such jitters were quickly overblown as I realized the article was more a "Batman Comics for Dummies," than anything else. Not to mention that parts of the article are actually, I repeat, actually plagiarized from an earlier article, both by the same writer!!

In fact, the second article, (actually written first) had something interesting to say about Grant Morrison's plans for the Caped Crusader.  So who knows what happened.  I guess Senior Truitt had to come up with a post by deadline?  Or maybe he thought no one reads his stuff anyway, so no one would notice getting re-served some of the same paragraphs from before.

As far as Batman Inc. goes--If you haven't already, it's worth checking out.  I'll have a longer post on the future actually on Grant Morrsion and the comic run later.  For now all I can say is that its worth some time, even you're a purist who says, "What?!  Batman...corporations...international?!"  Not much of the story has developed, but the on first read through, the art alone (thanks to Yanick Paquette, Michel Lacombe, and Nathan Fairbairn) is great with strong continuity from panel to panel and a somewhat older-school feel to the Batman.
